Here
are some characters designs for
one of my old comics work,
Sir Goin-Goin against
the Snowmon’.
It
was a
parody of heroic
fantasy story, for children,
in an arctic
goofy universe.
Sir Goin-Goin, proud
paladin but perfectly incompetent,
supported by his brave servant Mancho Mancha,
go on a mission for King Pinpin le Bref through
the Boreal World, and take on the Lord Narvallus hordes of Orcs...
The
first chapter of theirs adventures was published in the
pages of Fantastic Kid Lab N°2. Like most
of the comic book published by Fantastic
Lab (publishing house which I was co-manager and
artistic director) I also signed
the concept and the script.
Graphically
speaking, the toony universe of Goin-goin mixes classic medieval and
fantasy pop culture with viking, inuit and amerindian art and culture. There is of
course a touch of Steam-punk for
the bad guy inventions ...
Voici
quelques characters design de l’un de mes vieux travaux BD, Messire Goin-Goin contre le Bnom’ de Neige.
Il s’agissait
d’une histoire parodique d’Heroic Fantasy, à destination des enfants, dans un
univers arctique loufoque.
Messire
Goin-Goin, paladin fier mais parfaitement incompétent, épaulé de son brave serviteur

Boréal, et se frottent aux hordes d’Orques
du seigneur Narvallus…
Le premier
chapitre des aventures du duo a été publié dans les pages du Fantastic Lab Kid
N2. Comme la majorité des BD de Fantastic Lab (maison d’édition dont j’ai été co-gérant et
directeur artistique) j’en ai aussi signé le concept et le scénar’.
Côté
graphisme, l’univers toony du brave Goin-goin mêle culture médiévale et fantasie classique,
à l’art et la culture viking, inuite et amérindienne. Et bien sûr il y a une petite touche
de Steam-punk pour les inventions du méchant de service…

have other
fish to fry right now but I hope to have time
one of these day to
get into a remake of this story,
always in a toony
style but more in harmony with my current style of drawing and colorization.
J’ai bien d’autres
chats à fouetter en ce moment mais j’espère sincèrement avoir le temps un de
ces quatre de me lancer dans un remake de cette histoire, toujours dans un
style toony mais plus en adéquation avec mon style de dessin et de colorisation
actuel.
